Coming Home

Justin Bias, one of the up and coming stars of tomorrow just released his debut album, Coming Home. I've gotten my hands on an advance copy and already ripped and posted it to the internet on another cool website, called muxtape. It's literally a website where you can go and create mix tapes.

There's even another website, called muxfind that helps you search for people with taste similar to yours (assuming you posted a muxtape).

Anyways, go check out Justin's work. Then, when you decide you like it, go pick up a copy!

Unfortunately, you'll have to get a physical copy rather than download it because Justin is totally indie (as in independent) so you can't get it from the Amazon music store or iTunes, yet. One day, distribution could be centralized. That is, after the labels figure themselves out.

Happy Birth(yester)day to me!

This is a belated happy birthday message to myself... from myself.

I'm trying to figure out when it happened that people started to like me. I'm guessing it happened right around the time they stopped seeing me everyday. So, I'll thank Inna for making all of my friends like me more.

Seriously though, thanks to everyone who wrote on my facebook wall, texted, emailed, called, sent sky writing, and smoke signalled. It really made me feel good yesterday to get all of the communications.

As an update, I spent the day moving furniture from my old apt into Inna's place. It's now extremely tight in here. But, I'm getting unpacked. Then, we went to WD-50 for dinner and got the tasting menu. I have to mention how unbelievable the food was. Absolutely amazing! So good that I ate mushrooms and dessert, which I never do. Get there if you can.

As an aside, I'm going to get back to posting. Expect a bunch of posts about moving and finding an new apartment. New York City real estate is one of my favorite topics, and I'm consistently amazed at how easily everyone in the Five Boroughs can talk about it. It really brings us all together ... in our hatred of other cities (I'm looking at you, Boston). Also, I'm going to try to roll my own media center (as you may have noticed from my recent run on mediacenter bookmarks at del.icio.us
